October Hot Dish – inaugural edition

October 8, 2009

Every month, we’re featuring a Minnesotan ex-pat New Yorker who is fabulous and single. It’s our Hot Dish! Said single fabulous person will attend that month’s Minnesota Monthly happy hour at (le) Poisson Rouge, in case you want to meet this hot dish.

Rosela was kind enough to brave the world as our first Hot Dish. She’s a native Minnesotan living in the East Village with her adorable French Bulldog, Claire.

Rosela likes rockin' out!

Rosela likes rockin' out!

Rosela is a makeup artist and spent time as a theater Renaissance woman (actor, lighting director, stage manager), and currently disguises herself as a finance worker by day. She likes guys who are spontaneous and have a creative way of looking at life. She’s been known to date musicians and artists, but that’s not a deal-breaker.

Rosela grew up in Minnesota until she was 11 years old, at which point she moved to California and spent summers in MN. Her fondest memories are of camping along the Mississippi River and going to the Fair to pet the baby barnyard animals in the petting farm.

Rosela has quite the adventurous streak – she has been sky-diving and she tried out for Survivor by spitting fire and accidentally lit herself on fire in the process. This girl is tough! Needless to say, she is up for trying new things and enjoying life. Come learn more by striking up a conversation with her this Friday at our Minnesota Monthly happy hour! To connect with Rosela, please email me at minneappleNYC [at] gmail [dot] com for an introduction.
