2009 recap and the first Minneapple events of 2010
It’s been a busy couple of weeks and I took a little time off from the website for the crazed holiday season. But I’m ready to dive into 2010 and keep sharing all the amazing MN-bred talent to be enjoyed in NYC.
We had a great year in 2009. There were 12 happy hours. That’s once a month if you do the math. I only missed one, and I had the best possible excuse – I was in Minnesota, at the State Fair, watching A Prairie Home Companion at the Grandstand!
We also had our first contest (our bake-off) in December, and it was so much fun that we’ll be doing more contests throughout this year, all offering the chance for Minnesotans to share the culinary delights we grew up with (read: stay tuned for jell-o and hotdish contests!).
And our facebook group has (almost) 300 members! Keep spreading the word!
2010 will hold not only happy hours, but co-sponsored events, profiles of arts and cultural events and businesses and other endeavors, and more singles you’d like to meet in the “Hot Dish” feature.
Our first events of 2010 are:
