Dark Dark Dark – 2 shows this week
Dark Dark Dark makes two stops in NYC this week on a tour to promote their new EP, “Bright Bright Bright” on Supply and Demand Music. The chamber folk sex-tet hails from Minneapolis, New Orleans and New York. Lush and haunting, the band’s beautiful music includes piano, accordion and strings.
The new EP was recorded by Minneapolis producer Tom Hebers (Low, Retribution Gospel Choir, The Jayhawks) at Sacred Heart Studios, which is in an old chapel overlooking Lake Superior. The setting, along with the live and analog recording, captures the dynamic and full sound. You can stream the record at the band’s website here.
