Such a happenin’ Wednesday night

June 9, 2010

Oh, Wednesday.  Such an ideal night to catch some Minnesota-grown music!

Jeremy Messersmith @ Littlefield

Pop singer-songwriter Jeremy Messersmith is back in town after  a show in late May at Joe’s Pub.  This time he’s showing Brooklyn some love at Littlefield in the Gowanus area of Brooklyn. Check him out for more sweetness if you were at the Joe’s show, and most certainly if you missed it.

@ Littlefield, 622 Degraw St (btwn 3rd and 4th Ave), Brooklyn / 8pm / $10 day of show

Ghoul’s Night Out @ Otto’s Shrunken Head

Although born here in Brooklyn, my own band, Ghoul’s Night Out, has a very proud Minnesota ex-pat as a member – the singer, Glen-nora Danzig!  We’re NYC’s only all-girl Misfits tribute band, and I’m pretty sure we’ve struck both fear and fan-dom into the audience.   Everyone seems to have a damn good time rocking to all their old faves by the horror-punk genre definers.  One of my all-time favorites, that is for certain!

This may be our last show, so come check it out!

@ Otto’s Shrunken Head, 538 E 14th St (btwn Ave A & B), NYC

10pm / FREE
