June Happy Hour Recap
Happy hour attendees managed the potentially confusing location change quite well at our Minnesota Monthly Happy Hour – Summer Camp Style last Friday. About 50 attendees enjoyed the lovely back patio of Washington Commons in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. One regular attendee, Jay, even brought and proudly hung his Minnesota state flag on a tree at the head of one of our picnic tables. Way to represent!
We also had a great surprise of running into a few fellow Minnesotans who were at the bar to attend their work happy hour – they are teachers at a charter school network. It was great to see our June “Hot Dish” TJ there with several fellow Minnesotan pals in tow. You can see all the pictures from the event here.
A huge thanks to Mishka and Tara who organized the location and hosted with flare. Mishka brought amazing butterscotch bars, and Tara made the most delicious Chex mix I’ve ever had (except my mom’s, of course!). What great treats for our summer camp style happy hour!
The “I MN BK” design we used for the invite was so popular that I added a few t-shirts with the design to the Minneapple store on Cafepress, which you can find here. Special thanks to my honorary-Minnesotan friend Corin for the design!
Thanks to everyone who attended. We hope you had as much fun as we did. Stay tuned for the July happy hour announcement.
